Accessibility

How this website and our clinic are built to be usable, and how to tell us when they are not.

The website

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means:

  • Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Text contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1, and large text 3:1, on every surface.
  • Semantic HTML throughout — real headings, real lists, real buttons, real landmarks.
  • A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page.
  • All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology.
  • Every animation respects prefers-reduced-motion. If your system requests reduced motion, the site stops moving.
  • The site remains fully readable and usable with JavaScript disabled.
  • Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide, and at 200% zoom.

Known gaps

The embedded map on the contact page is a third-party frame and we do not control its internal accessibility. The full address, directions, parking, and transit information are all provided as text on that page so the map is never the only route to that information.

The clinic itself

  • Step-free entry from the Granville Street lobby, with elevator access to the second floor.
  • Suite 210 is directly opposite the elevator.
  • Two accessible parking spaces by the north entrance, at no charge.
  • Accessible restroom on the same floor.
  • Height-adjustable treatment tables in every room.
  • Support people and service animals are welcome in the treatment room.
  • We can provide intake forms in large print, and we will complete them with you verbally if that is easier.

Ask us for what you need

If you need a longer appointment, a quieter time of day, written rather than verbal instructions, an interpreter, or anything else that would make the visit work better for you — tell us when you book. It is not an imposition and it will not cost you anything.

Tell us when we get it wrong

If you hit a barrier on this site or in the clinic, we want to know. Emailhello@meridianspine.com or call (614) 555-0148. Describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We aim to respond within two business days and to fix website issues within thirty.
